The origin of this company goes back to 1898, when D. Justo Murúa, expert barrelmaker, sets up a handicrafts workshop in Elciego (Rioja Alavesa). Shortly after, he moves to Logroño, where his workshop becomes the best installation of Spain and one of the first in Europe in this sector.

D. Justo´s son, D. Donato Murúa, goes on with the smooth running of the business; thanks to him, it gets an international recognition and between his clients we find the most prestigious winerys of La Rioja.

At present, the family continues managing the company, which adapted to the new times, it still has the Murúa traditional quality, prestige of this firm.

Envases Murúa is endorsed by the Certified Quality and Environment System according to the regulation ISO 9001 and ISO 14000 approved by the Independent Institution APPLUS.
